This is the one in which I tell you all about our new composting toilet. If you’re of the fairer sort who likes to flush, run away, and pretend that you were only powdering your nose in there, please note that we get a little messy, but we always wash our hands at the end.
Coming Soon: Charles wants to share his photos of the English Channel, and I’d like to share some thoughts I have about downsizing from an apartment to a sailboat. If Charles gets to me first, I promise that you’ll have some gorgeous shots of coastal England and Falmouth to view.

My parents had a composting system with their toilet for years. It was in the late 70’s and only a few made. They used the compost for their garden. If you have the time, patience, and fortitude, it’s a great way to enrich your soil. 🙂

I keep seeing other composters referring to a book called “Humanure,” but we have no garden and I just cannot wrap my head around associating myself with that title!

Fascintaing. If you’re going to do tiny house living, a sailboat is the way to go (IHMO)… (no pun intended).

We wholeheartedly agree! I’d love a fabulous little tiny house on wheels if we were to move out adventures inland, but we’re pretty happy floating on the sea for now.
